As an independent service I can probably offer the best price hearing aids in Birmingham.
I set up my service with the aim in mind of giving people the chance to wear the highest quality digital hearing aids at the best price possible.
I also wanted to give people TIME and the option of a more holistic approach that will help them to make the best of their listening skills. An approach that helps people to be more satisfied hearing aid wearers.
Hearing aids are worn in the ears but hearing and listening actually takes place in the brain.
There is more to good hearing and listening than just wearing hearing aids.
With TIME and dedication from both me and you, the customer, I work with people to enable them to get the best out of their hearing aids AND THEIR HEARING AND LISTENING PROCESSING CAPABILITIES.
(Auditory Processing Abilities).
As far as I am aware, at the time of writing this, there is no other hearing aid service which offers the wide range of services and therapies to help people to improve their hearing and listening skills to their fullest potential.
People with hearing loss usually experience difficulties hearing speech in background noise and an experience that people mumble or speak too quickly.
Certainly, these problems are caused by a lack of audibility, which is addressed to some degree with hearing aids - but that’s not the whole story – what is also crucial, but rarely addressed are auditory processing skills.
Two skills crucially important for hearing in background noise are:
Auditory Working Memory and Processing Speed. Research has shown that both of these can decline with age.
Some companies charge over £7000 for a top of the range pair of hearing aids and yet do NOTHING to help maximize the brain’s processing of sounds abilities.
It’s not ideal to put expensive aids on a person whose brain isn’t adequately ‘tuned up’ and also it isn’t a very good idea to use cheap hearing aids when the demands on your hearing and cognitive abilities are very demanding. (Situations such as hearing in busy meetings at work or noisy family gatherings).
The ideal solution is to wear hearing aids that match your specific needs and to actively engage in a computerised auditory training program designed to improve listening skills – such as LACE.

I work with any adult with a hearing loss or listening difficulties. People who have NHS hearing aids, who have purchased aids from other companies or from myself.
