Your Guarantee
All hearing aids are automatically guaranteed for a minimum period of 2 years.
This covers any instrument failure during that period that may be due to defective parts, workmanship or mechanical malfunction.
For a relatively small extra charge, guarantees on some hearing aid models can be extended up to 5 years.
After this time repairs will be chargeable.
IT IS ADVISABLE TO PLACE YOUR HEARING AIDS ON YOUR HOME INSURANCE TO INSURE AGAINST, THEFT AND ACCIDENTAL LOSS AND DAMAGE.
As;
Damage caused by accident, misuse or unauthorised handling is not covered by the manufacturers guarantee.
Loss of hearing instruments through either accidental loss or theft is not covered by the manufacturers guarantee.
Consumable / replaceable parts – tubes, cords, ear tips,
receiver - in- the- canal parts, earmoulds and batteries are not covered by the manufacturers guarantee.
Extended Guarantee
Some hearing instruments carry the option of 3 year extended guarantee (an additional 3 years).This is available as an option at the time of order or for up to 3 months after the time of order at an extra cost. After this time repairs will be chargeable.
Trials and Refunds
A refund on purchased instruments is available if the instrument is returned within 30 days of the date of fitting and is in an undamaged state and in a good, clean condition.
None of the above affects your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods 1979 Act as amended.
